Name: Fundamentals of ColdFusion MX 6.1
Course Code: SA100
Duration: 5
Scheduled Dates for SA100
ColdFusion MX is the wildly popular server-side language that allows non-programmers to quickly produce data-driven websites. Since the content is stored in a database, the pages are created dynamically. In addition to learning basic ColdFusion techniques, you will learn basic database concepts using Microsoft Access, including how to create Data Source Names (DSN), SQL statements and relational database basics. Once you have mastered ColdFusion's basics, it is time to discover its more advanced options. We will explore the many methods of reusing code (including , custom tags and stored procedures). Using session variables and cookies, we will create a Password Protected section of the site to increase security.

Objectives
- We will use real-life examples to show you how to query the database using the tag and display your resulting records using , , and more. Additionally, we will create an administration section that will allow you and your staff to add, edit or delete records in the database. We will teach you how to predict and prevent errors so your users will never see an ugly error page. Using Regular Expressions, we will perform advanced Form Validation. Although ColdFusion does allow for quick an easy development, it still is a robust, powerful language. We will explore programming concepts including loops, arrays, structures and two methods for writing User-Defined Functions (UDFs).
