This five-day course covers the establishment and maintenance of automated benefits programs in PeopleSoft Benefits Administration. Participants will learn to manage complex eligibility and event requirements, employee enrollment into benefit programs and the processing of these employees through Open Enrollment, and on-going Event Maintenance. In addition, participants will run an eligibility Snapshot, review Event Coordination and set up PeopleSoft eBenefits to process enrollments via self-service.
Objectives
- Setting up automated benefits programs
- Defining eligibility rules based on factors such as age, status, employee type, job or group of jobs, duration of service, company, and pay
- Defining event rule parameters that control how and when an event is processed
- Enrolling employees automatically into benefit plans
- Creating employee communications such as enrollment forms and confirmation letters
- Changing elections and coverage
- Processing an Open Enrollment and perform Event Maintenance
- Establishing validation across plan types
- Using eBenefits to make benefit changes
