This full-day, hands-on class is designed to teach students the basics of the eXtensible Markup Language (XML), a web document authoring meta-language that is an integral part of e-business technology. Students will learn the basics of defining their own XML-based markup language, including the creation of a Document Type Definition (DTD) for the language. Coverage also includes an overview of the XML Linking Language (XLink), the standard for linking XML documents.
Target Audience
Developers or DBA's beginning to work with XML in any application who needs a basic understanding of the XML language and several important dialects of XML including XML Schema and the XML Style Language Translatio (XSLT).
